Solves problem of intermittent green scans
when scanner has been used heavily ("overheating" symptoms), solves problem of
incorrect (red or green) colour cast on lower section of scan. cref x2.12. [source

| 2.1 |
Minor improvement to shadow detail, improves
noise sometimes seen when converting RGB image to CMYK after scanning at a high Gamma
setting, also improves "smearing" problem (adds smearing steps when buffer is
full) |
| 2.0 |
Solves horizontal shearing problem when
scanner is used at high resolution with a slow host Mac or PC (horizontal sections or
bands of the image are displaced). Same release as x194. |
| x194 |
First release of fix for horizontal shearing
problem (same as 2.0) |
| 1.9 |
Reduce image pixelisation, reduce shadow
noise problem (at power-on or after a long time idle). One known outstanding issue:
problem with 2000dpi scans on older Macs caused by slow SCSI, scanner head start/stop -
produces horizontal banding or shearing. Fix currently being tested. |
| 1.8 |
1) Correct the highlight/shadow formerly
existing on F/W v1.7. 2) New UTA lamp holder supported: The UTA-2000 lamp holder width has
been increased to aid image quality. Old UTA lamp holder is still compatible. 3) Improve
image quality: i) Correct the colour balance error when batch scan is selected and colour
mode is switched from lineart to RGB mode. ii) Correct DC offset calibration for improved
colour balance. Improve too much Red problem. |
| 1.7 |
1) Use RGB mode calibration to improve the
density range of greyscale. 2) Solve the randomly horizontal red lines on the scanned
images. 3) Modify the motor acceleration to avoid motor crash when chassis starts to
return to home position. 4) Improve preview quality: There is a green mask on the preview
image randomly. |
| 1.2 |
1) Improved image quality - Solved jittering
problem in dark area in F/W v1.0. 2) Modified the UTA lamp calibration position for better
image quality (moved the UTA lamp 6mm forward). |
