Fixes issue of
scaner timeout/freeze when trying to scan in greyscale or lineart mode (even after a
succesful preview). This problem only affects some Astra 1200S-C (external PSU model),
when used with the revised driver architecture of VistaScan 2.4.5 or later. Small
improvement to images in Quality mode through modified calibration-by-firmware routine.
Note: f/w 3.1 is also backwards-compatible with the older drivers, notably VS243. [source
